Minneapolis community health (Seward and Cedar-Riverside communities)
Community Health Outreach at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview collaborates with faith-based institutions, local community organizations and agencies serving low income and immigrant communities. Our coordinators offer their time and resources to strengthen the community - promoting health and well-being, preventing disease and improving overall quality of life.
We identify opportunities for collaboration and develop programs and interventions that specifically address identified needs in the areas of:
- Behavioral health
- Child/adolescent health
- Heart health
- Nutrition
- Women's health
We also provide leadership, technical assistance and actively participate in internal and external committees and professional organizations.
