At Fairview Children's
Clinic, we provide family-centered care for patients from birth to young adulthood. We appreciate the diversity of families in the Twin Cities area and strive to make everyone feel welcome.
Our health care team collaborates with parents to help children and teens maintain good health, nutrition and emotional well-being. We also care for children and teens with chronic illnesses and provide same-day appointments for patients with routine illnesses. Consulting specialists in speech therapy and lactation (breastfeeding) also see patients at the clinic.
All the pediatricians at the clinic are board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. We see newborns at University of Minnesota Medical Center Riverside campus. Other patients who need to be hospitalized are seen at University of Minnesota Children's Hospital.
Convenient On-Site Services
As part of Fairview Health Services, Fairview Children's Clinic will coordinate a complete spectrum of services as you need them, including interpreters and auxiliary aides. Office visits, lab tests and X-rays are scheduled by appointment. Clinic services include:
- Comprehensive physical exams
- Complete well-baby, child and teen care

- Lactation consultation (breastfeeding)
- Speech and language therapy

After-Hours and Emergency Care
The clinic telephone is answered 24 hours a day, every day. A message will be relayed to our on-call doctor or nurse, who will return the call and answer your questions. You may be directed to the nearest after-hours facility, as listed below.
Fairview Urgent Care
When your pain or illness can't wait, Fairview Urgent Care is available. Physicians see adults and children who have a variety of problems, including sore throats, rashes, earaches, upper respiratory infections, cuts, sprains, minor injuries and more.

In a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. Fairview Hospital emergency departments are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Hospital emergency room pediatricians are on-site at University of Minnesota Children's Hospital when you child needs emergency care.
Express Care on Johnson Street
This walk-in clinic is staffed by certified nurse practitioners and physician assistants, who provide convenient and affordable care for certain illnesses and injuries. The clinic serves the entire family, ages 12 months and older, on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment is necessary. Several major insurance plans are accepted as well as Visa, Mastercard and Discover.

Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. - 7p.m.
Saturday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
If Your Child Needs to Be Hospitalized
Our physicians see their patients at University Medical Center Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, Unity Hospital in Fridley, and Children's Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis and St. Paul. Our doctors work with the hospital pediatricians at the University of Minnesota Children's Hospital when you child needs hospital care.
If You Have Questions About Your Care
We invite you to call our clinic at 612-672-2350 during regular clinic hours when you have questions about your health or medical care. A nurse will answer your questions or consult with your physician and return your call. Call the same number any time after clinic hours and you will be connected with a nurse triage line.
Fairview Pharmacy Services
Fairview pharmacists work closely with your physician to help you understand everything you need to know about medications. Fairview Pharmacy is now co-located in our clinic building. Call 612-672-7274 for additional pharmacy locations, store hours and mail-order services.
When You Need to See a Specialist
If you should require a referral for specialty care outside our clinic, your primary physician will work with your specialist and monitor your care.
If You Have Questions About Billing or Insurance
Fairview Children's Clinic is a participating provider for most local health plans and major insurance companies. For specific information about your benefit coverages, call your health plan or the employee benefits department at your workplace. If you have questions about your bill, call the Fairview Clinics central business number at 612-672-5390.
