Minneapolis, MN, August 17, 2009. – For an unprecedented third consecutive year, Fairview Oxboro Clinic, located in Bloomington, was recognized as the number one clinic in Minnesota for improving health outcomes for diabetes patients.

The clinic was recognized by the Buyers Health Care Action Group’s Bridges to Excellence program which awards primary care clinics for their ability to achieve high patient outcomes in key clinical areas. Fairview Oxboro Clinic was awarded the number one spot out of 440 clinics throughout the state for diabetes care measures, a distinction that recognizes the clinic’s effort and dedication to providing comprehensive diabetes care. 

“For Fairview Oxboro Clinic to rank first three times compared to these hundreds of other clinics is like the odds of a team winning the Super Bowl three times in a row,” says Barry Bershow, M.D., vice president of quality services for Fairview.

Through integrated group efforts at the clinic, the doctors and staff combine outreach, passion and patient involvement to create an exceptional care experience. Their efforts to create a specialized ‘clinic within a clinic’ have helped patients to better control their diabetes and live healthier lives.
