Fairview is an award-winning organization. Here are a few recent highlights:

2011 U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Hospitals" University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview ranked among the top 50 hospitals in the United States in nine specialties: cancer (23rd), diabetes and endocrinology (36th), ear, nose and throat (49th), gastroenterology (25th), nephrology (19th), neurology and neurosurgery (36th), orthopedics (34th), pulmonology (18th), urology (37th). The medical center also was listed as "high performing" in cardiology, geriatrics and gynecology.

2011 U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Hospitals metro-area rankings”University of Minnesota Medical Center Fairview ranked #1 among 32 hospitals in the Minneapolis-St. Paul greater metro area. Fairview Southdale Hospital ranked #7 (high performing in ear, nose and throat; geriatrics; gynecology; orthopedics; pulmonology and urology). Fairview Ridges Hospital ranked #9 (high performing in ear, nose and throat; gynecology and pulmonology).

2011 U.S. News & World Report's “America's Best Children's Hospitals” University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital ranked among the top 50 children's hospitals in the country in eight medical specialties: kidney care (13th), cancer treatment (24th), diabetes and endocrinology (38th); urology (41st); cardiology/heart surgery (41st); neonatology (42nd); gastroenterology (45th); and pulmonology (49th).

2011 Minnesota Hospital Association award – Best Minnesota Hospital Workplace (small hospital category) Fairview Northland Medical Center

2011 Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical ExcellenceTM (Top 5 percent in the nation), according to HealthGrades Fairview Ridges Hospital (also recognized by HealthGrades for excellence in the following specialties: 5-star rated for treatment of heart attack, heart failure and stroke; top 10% in the nation for treatment of stroke; top 5% in the nation for overall pulmonary services; top 10% in the nation for overall gastrointestinal services; top 5% in the nation for emergency medicine).

2010 Thomson Reuters' top 10 U.S. health systems Researchers from the Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals program analyzed the quality and efficiency of 255 U.S. health systems and ranked Fairview among its top 10.

2010 Star Tribune’s “Top 100 Workplaces” Ebenezer ranked eighth on the “large company” list of the 100 best workplaces in the Twin Cities metro area.
