Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Program: Tuition and Fees
Students obtaining college credit for the Fairview Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) program will pay tuition to their respective colleges. The college sends a percentage of the tuition to the Fairview program. Students with a bachelor's degree and not receiving undergraduate college credit or paying tuition to a college, will be assessed $6,000 for the program. The tuition payment is spread over a six-month period according to the following schedule:
- July 1: $750
- Sept. 1: $750
- Nov. 1: $750
- Feb. 1: $3,750
Additional costs/fees:
- Textbooks: Anything in excess of what is not covered by the $600 commitment fee (books are purchased by the program with the commitment fee)
- Parking : ~$80/month
- Housing
- Meals
- Health insurance (health insurance is required for all students enrolled in the program)
- Student liability insurance (if not provided by academic institution) ~ $40
Fairview Health Services MLS Program will provide:
- Lab coats and other personal protective equipment
- Student membership in American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS)
Withdrawal from the program and refund policy:
For students NOT paying tuition to their academic institutions, the first tuition payment of $750 is due July 1 (one month following the start of the program). A student withdrawing prior to July 15 will be refunded 10 percent of the $750. No tuition will be refunded if withdrawal occurs after July 15. Students paying tuition to their academic institution will follow the institution's policy regarding payment and refunds.
