Aaron Friedman, MD, joined the University of Minnesota as Ruben-Bentson Chair and professor of pediatrics, University of Minnesota Medical School and pediatrician-in-chief, University of Minnesota Children's Hospital, Fairview in March. Previously, he was the Sylvia Kay Hassenfeld Chair of Pediatrics at Brown Medical School and medical director of Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, R.I. Friedman received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical School and completed his pediatric residency and pediatric nephrology fellowship training at the University of Wisconsin. Adam Locketz, MD, recently joined Midwest Spine Institute, part of Fairview Physician Associates. Locketz received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed an internal medicine internship, physical medicine and rehabilitation residency, and anesthesia pain management fellowship at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with subspecialty certification in pain medicine. Locketz will provide clinical assessment and treatment for adults and children with most types of spine pain and musculoskeletal problems. He also will work closely with spine surgeons to provide pain management techniques, as well as with patients to tailor non-operative rehabilitation treatment plans.
