Edina, Minn (July 22, 2009) – Eleven independent and Fairview-owned metro primary and specialty care clinics have been recognized for superior customer satisfaction. The awards are part of an annual patient survey program administered by Fairview Physician Associates (FPA) to recognize excellent and significantly improved patient experience. FPA receives more than 63,000 patient surveys each year.

“Customer satisfaction is extremely important at FPA. We require that all of our member clinics participate in this annual survey and generate at least a 30 percent response rate,” says William Nersesian, MD, FPA chief medical officer. “Clinics that score in the lowest 15 percent must complete a plan to improve the patient experience.”

Fairview Physician Associates is a physician-led nonprofit of more than 1,200 physicians and nearly 200 primary and specialty clinics. Member clinics are independent as well as clinics owned by Fairview Health Services.  FPA works to improve community health by helping member clinics reach clinical and practice quality goals set by health plans and FPA.

Recipients achieved the highest patient “strongly agree” response to the statements: “I

would rate the overall care that I have received at this clinic as excellent” and “I am able to schedule this appointment within a reasonable amount of time.” Clinics recognized include:
