Nov. 25, 2013
Fairview and Ebenezer Foundations welcomed nearly 400 donors to the McNamara Alumni Center for Leading the Way, our annual donor thank-you dinner, on Nov. 14.

At a pre-dinner reception, Fairview thanked donors for their generosity and support.

KSTP meteorologist Ken Barlow emceed the event, which featured remarks by Dick Howard, president of Fairview Foundation; and Mark Thomas, president of senior services.
Nearly 400 people attended the donor recognition dinner
held Nov. 14 in the McNamara Alumni Center at the
University of Minnesota.

A theme of hope and recovery
The evening’s theme was offering hope and recovery through behavioral health. For many, a highlight of the evening was hearing from patient Don Andersen, who shared his emotional story of recovery from depression.

Highlights included an art gallery created by participants in Ebenezer's Life Long Learning programs, a performance by T. Mychael Rambo and presentations by Kathy Knight, vice president, Behavioral and Professional Services, and Charles Schulz, MD, professor and head of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Minnesota.

UCare was one of the philanthropic partners recognized
at the event. Nancy Feldman, UCare president and
CEO, is shown here with Dick Howard, president of
Fairview Foundation, left, and Mark Thomas, president
of senior services.

Three awards were given
Awards for outstanding philanthropic partnership were presented to:

  • Robert Solheim
  • UCare
  • Dennis Fernkes

The evening's title sponsor was Knutson Construction.
