From farmers markets to yoga classes and more, we practice what we preach about wellness.

That's according Hennepin County, which recently recognized Fairview as a Hennepin County Silver Level Wellness by Design Award winner.

The Wellness by Design Worksite Awards are presented each year in four award levels to Hennepin County worksites whose wellness initiatives demonstrate accomplishments in:
  • management support
  • wellness infrastructure
  • assessment and evaluation
  • supportive environments
  • communication and engagement
  • programs and interventions

This was Fairview’s first year applying for the award. We're among more than 70 organizations recognized.

It takes a village
Brenna Vuong, Fairview senior wellness specialist, credits the work of our onsite wellness ambassadors and wellness committees across Fairview as a key reason for achieving the award.

Among other things, they help organize and coordinate farmers markets and community gardens, schedule lunch-and-learn sessions, share information about Fairview’s wellness initiatives and act as liaisons for onsite programs such as Weight Watchers and yoga classes.

“Our wellness program would not be complete without them,” she says. “They are passionate and engaged individuals who care about their co-workers’ health and well-being.”
