Carolyn Wilson earns national recognition
Carolyn Wilson, president of University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview has been named to a prestigious list of health care leaders to watch now and into the future.
Becker’s Hospital Review’s “120 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know” honors executives who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, and accomplishments within the hospital and health care industry.
Thriving in the face of change
“Carolyn is an exceptional leader, and this national affirmation is very well-deserved,” says Chuck Mooty, Fairview interim CEO. “Health care is under enormous changes and challenges; she thrives in that environment and is unwavering in her focus on what is best for our patients and their families.”

They have demonstrated considerable skill and promise despite times of uncertainty and unprecedented change in the industry.”
Honorees were chosen based on a wide range of management skills, including oversight of hospital and health system operations, financial turnarounds and quality improvement initiatives.
Wilson holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in business administration. She joined Fairview in November 2011.
