Fairview acquires Bloomington Lake Clinic

Nov. 15, 2011
Fairview announced today that it has acquired Bloomington Lake Clinic, with locations in Minneapolis and Bloomington.

The Bloomington Lake Clinic has served area residents for more than 80 years from locations on Lake Street in south Minneapolis and Xerxes Avenue in Bloomington. The Xerxes location—with more than a dozen providers and approximately 10,000 square feet of space—begins operating as a Fairview clinic this month.

The Lake Street location, which was destroyed by fire in March, will re-open as a Fairview clinic in spring 2012. Officials plan to seek LEED certification for this 4,800-square-foot facility.

A 'great fit'
Bloomington Lake Clinic has a long history of providing high-quality, patient-centered care. “This is a great fit for Fairview because the providers and staff at Bloomington Lake Clinic reflect the values of our organization,” says Mark Domalewski, vice president of operations for Fairview Clinics.

Although the name of the clinic will change slightly to include Fairview, patients should expect the same great care. “Patients will receive care from the same providers and staff that they’ve come to trust over the years,” says Domalewski. “It’s important that the patient-provider relationship remain intact.”

The clinics provide regular and extended hours for appointments and specialize in family medicine; preventive, acute and chronic care as well as laboratory and X-ray services.
