Our Commitment to Our Communities

Fairview’s mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve. Fairview is proud of its century-old network of community programs that reach where traditional health care cannot. We listen to the needs of our communities and respond with appropriate programs and services, investing in community health partnerships, educational programs and uncompensated care. We also invest in efforts to increase access to services, educate future health professionals and conduct research.

In 2010, Fairview’s community benefit, as determined by the Catholic Health Association/VHA guidelines, totaled more than $197 million. When other contributions such as losses as a result of Medicare underfunding are considered, Fairview’s support for the community topped out at $375.7 million in 2010.

We take our mission and our community commitment seriously. We are constantly making efforts to improve the quality of health care and to provide exceptional care to each person, every day.
